What is Google Earth?
Google Earth is a 3D representation of our planet that allows students and staff to explore the entire planet, learn about other cultures and geography, and see how that compares to the communities they live in.
Why use it?
Google Earth has a ton of great resources to learn more about places around the world. The Voyager feature has curated resources, images, videos, and explanations of famous locations. You can also create projects in Google Earth (on any device) as a means to demonstrate learning or tell a story. Students could create markers on the map and then take someone on a tour across a city, state, to famous landmarks.
